The other day I noticed a "dead key" hit on 159.420. This open carrier has, strangely enough, has continued throughout the past two days straight! The transmission covers a very broad geographical area, as if simulcast from numerous repeaters in the Seattle and Everett coverage areas.
The 159.420 freq has the same exact call sign listed as the one for WSP aircraft channel 159.075, so, I assume they might be running some sort of wave-propagation or repeater test. Anybody know what the deal is? Anybody in Skagit, Whatcom, Pierce, or Thurston counties hear it? If so, what is your location?
Anybody know any other WSP aircraft frequencies currently licensed and/or being used in the greater King/Snohomish Co. areas?
