Mt Spokane High School actually bought one and got it up and running, to keep kids from using their phones.
I think it was a bunch of complaints to the cell carriers from parents which ultimately discovered it.
Now I see several state DOC's want to use them.
Mt. Spokane is known for having a bunch of spoiled little brats who's mommies and daddies are slightly better than "well off"! So needless to say, Susie or Junior thinks they can talk on their phone whenever and wherever they want no matter what the rules are and then when they lose their phone (Teach takes it)...then Mommie and Daddie come to the rescue because Junior and Susie should be allowed to do whatever they want because they are spoiled!!.........................:bsflag:
Where my kids go to school in the West Plains (oldest one has graduated), if they got caught using their phone then they lose it till the parent comes to retrieve it and since there isn't as much juice out there, the district has alittle more clout! I always just sent txt messages to my kids those times when I needed to talk to them before they were done for the day telling them to call me "when you are out of class". I always reminded them to follow the rules and either turn off the phone or make sure it was set to vibrate only! They were/are good about that!
