Many moons ago, I visited several of the USG sites suspected/known to be involved with such things.
Despite the broadcasts being rather overt, the name for one such system of broadcasts, transmitted from the site in this photo,
was "Covert ____" because of the passive, easy manner using somewhat common equipment that intended recipients could receive such
broadcasts" made the system rather covert for the intended recipients.
This site and it's sister station not too far away have changed a lot in the subsequent decades.
