It's not bad enough that Entercom's KNDD FM in Sacramento -- was behind the death of a radio listener. Now -- they want to trade off the Seattle area stations they own to Bonneville Broadcasters -- former owners of KIRO - and others -- for the stations that Bonneville now owns in San Francisco. Bonneville left the Seattle area a few years back. Hail and fairwell Entercom. Welcome back Bonneville.

But do you really think Salt Lake is going to dump a lot of money, even a 50,000 watt heritage station like KIRO and bring it back to what it was?

Their best hope is to wait for the Mariner's contract to come up again..

NO. But Bonneville's KBIG FM -- with a torch signal of 115 KW from Mt Wilson -- located the perfect format. Disco. ( :!: :?:  ) No one inside the big city broadcast stations can think of a good format -- let a lone come up with the cash or produce a good format or program. The owners are to busy taking all of the cash away from operations and into the pockets of the stockholders. It's not the POWER as much as the format. But tell that to Corporate HQ. All a 50 KW signal form 950 AM or 1300 AM will get -- is a very large electric bill each month -- Not ratings. But atleast -- there might be one less "morning team" that pulls a prank that kills of a radio listener. ---- Why can't some morning DJ be the one that gets killed off ??? Now that would be a GREAT format.

Two reports that KIRO 710 will be re-broadcast on 97.3 FM. Have no idea who came up with this bright idea.

Gee, if Tom Clendening is still manager, it wouldn't be a surprise

I spoke too soon..

KIRO, KTTH Program Director Tom Clendening has left the building with a cardboard box.

Bonneville Communications takes over next week. "Major programming changes are anticipated."

Stay tuned.
