There are a lot of people out there that may need some help in being able to monitor a rebanded sysyem, here are some tips. If anyone can add please do so.

1-Ensure you have a scanner that can support rebanding, not all support reband.
2-Ensure that you have the most current Firmware version installed in your scanner, this adds the software to support rebanding and band plans.
3-Program in the new Frequncies
4-For my Uniden BCT15X and BR330T I had to program the following Band Plans.

Band Plan 1
Lower Base = 851.025
Upper Base = 854.000
Offset = 440 +
Spacing = 25KHz

Band Plan 2
Lower Base = 851.0125
Upper Base = 868.9875
Offset = 0 +
Spacing = 25KHz

For rebanding I have read that if your Control Channel has a 5 after the 4th decimal point thaen you don't need a custom Band Plan.

No. The band plan is used to generate the voice channels. You need to check every voice frequency for the "5." Also remember that many alternate control channels also carry voice.

Three rules for rebanding:

1. It only applies to 800 Mhz systems. Any other range and you are talking about something else.

2. Some things may not have to change. So if they worked before, then they will continue to work even in non-rebandable scanners if you correct for the control channel changes.

3. When things do have to change they generally fall 15 Mhz to live as splinters between the things in rule 2. You need the custom band plan to get to these.

So it depends on how much of the system lived before under rule 2 as to how well things will work without a rebanded scanner.
