Interesting situation with the bi-plane. I would think flying VFR outside of controlled airspace you would expect him to monitor whatever the unicom is for local uncontrolled airstrips and the surrounding airspace, plus 121.5 guard if he has a second radio.

Was it an open cockpit ? Those things are L-O-U-D (speaking from experience).

USAR WASHINGTON TASK FORCE 1 is on Station or enrout. COMMS are going to change or will be added to. If anyone can add please do so. They might be using channels called ICALL and ITAC but I don't have the TG ID's

So everyone please add.

Does Sno Co have its legacy stuff still? From memory 155.415.

I-call and I-tac don't exist anymore, per se.

FEMA realigned its radio structure, and they're all VTAC#, VCALL# (VHF) UTAC#,UCALL#(uhf), 7CALL#, 7TAC# (700 Mhz) Etc.

NIFOG is the source you should be looking at.

But since Region 43 has yet to reband, I would look at the ICALL/ITAC. NIFOG assumes you have rebanded.

It seems today all our local First Responders are still operating on said mentioned COMS. And USAR folks are using their own Communication Packages.

Does anyone know what frequencies the National Guard might be using at the slide disaster site?

If you have FEMA, USAR and WNG all working together, try the "S" zone of that document Weenie posted. I've seen the same agencies on big wildland fires and they've been on the National inter-agency VHF freqs.

I don't know about the "publicsafetytools.info" website.. It is a government contractor iste ( http://www.saic.com/ )

This is the direct source for the NIFOG guide and should be the reference. Not there is any mistakes in the above link, BUT..

Another airspace violation occurred this afternoon at 1610 Local, a Cessna 150 flew low over the area where the NG Blackhawk choppers were making extractions. The AirTac commander then requested a WSP plane to provide Air-Cap cover (High Bird). Allegedly someone got the tail number this time of the TFR violator and it was stated that they will dispatch law enforcement to appropriate airport to try and apprehend the offending pilot if identified.

If you have the means, consider dropping the Sno County Helicopter Rescue Team a few bucks. Recall they flew the majority of the initial SAR missions with a nearly all-volunteer crew, in addition to many more every year.

HRT received Federal Title III “Timber Tax” funds to support the program for the past 15 years. We received about $150,000 each year through 2012, but in 2013 we received only $17,000 with no further funds expected

I have been listening to the Snohomish Feed #2 today in the background a couple questions. They asked for a FEMA rep before extricating a car with a backhoe anyone have an idea as to why they need some one from FEMA to supervise?

Also does anyone have a map showing the divisions / zones?

According to the latest ARRL news letter the Snohomish County Auxiliary Communications Service volunteers have been coordinating their activities on the Granite Falls 146.920 MHz repeater. Emergency Services Coordinating Agency (ESCA) RACES is active staffing the Red Cross shelters, and they are using the 444.200 MHz repeater near Arlington.
