 Post subject: Rebanding BC246T

I am about ready to purchase a Uniden BC246t. I have been told this radio will take the rebading upgrade. I am a little nervous that after the purchase things may change and the 246 all of a sudden may not be included in Unidens upgrade plan. Does anyone have any insight or thought.

Rebanding should not be an issue. Lots of Public Safety agencies are currently in the 806 Band and most Trunking Scanners will tune between these blocks or channels. The swap (or rebanding) is from 821 to 806. I hope this answers your question(s).
