Is it just me or does WSP analog sound MUCH better last couple of days? The audio bandwidth/quality sounds tighter/cleaner than before. I usually listen on 155.58 but it seems to be on both KC/PC frequencies...

FYI -- Benton County WSP is fully P25 and was *not* linked to the Benton P25 system -- as it was before.

A few weeks ago heard Bremerton telling units "Gardiner, Port Angeles, and Ellis" were "out of service"... Bremerton/Shelton still analog. Not sure about the rest of District 10 however. Last winter I observed Day Wireless trucks at the District 10 office, which corresponded with audio routing difficulties experienced by Bremerton... Occasionally Area and the statewide car/car will get simulcasted. But otherwise no sign of any digital upgrade here, yet...

Has anyone else noticed Olympia dispatch having a weaker signal the last few days, as if they're using a different transmit site or something? Just wondering if it's on their end or if I've developed a problem with my mobile setup recently.

As I sit listening to District 4 in P-25.
Sounds dumb, by the way.

This is the best thread ever! Just what I need after a rough day of work, humor!
By the way I heard that WSP is going to buy the old Nextel system and integrate with their P25 system. Sean is going to leave the "radio shop" and manage the project. Its a fact Jack!

WSP brass are going to wheel out plan to get every officer to get their ham license. So expect all that chitter chatter from 155.46/154.935/460.075 to switch to 145.33.

Haha, this wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Currently, it looks like WSP Troopers carry XTS 2500 portables -- but now, to help reduce the state budget, they'll be issued Wouxun radios!
