I've seen this pic around, but just noticed the LE boat docked,
A tow strap, and possibly, the guy who can't pass the PT test.

Never heard of a towing company with PT tests. Judging by the tow truck drivers I've met or seen, I assume they just use a drug test and hire the ones who fail it.

Who cares about holes?

As much as I hate double walled roofs, for once, they're actually coming in handy.

I mounted the mic clips the same way I mounted the speakers and the control heads..... Screwed into the interior roof... hahahaha

For once, I don't have to worry about putting holes in things, or making sure the interior is perfect. Freedom at last!

To answer the que before it gets asked. I chose the SS2K specifically for its ease of disabling siren tones (no cut wires/desoldering/etc, and yes they're disabled), and built in SM control.

40mm cans house the SS2K, GPS, and D700. A hole was drilled on the far side for ventilation and wiring. They look perfect there, as if they're supposed to be there.

Edge has 4 forward facing HIDs, 2 flood, and 2 spot (1 of each on each side), and 2 rear. I retrofitted them into the halogen assemblies, so the reflector works surprisingly well.

I love those Ammo cans! I've been building portable repeater boxes with them now and work pretty good!

Forget Tyler Durden, smoking and splicing in a shoe box of a room, projection booths are quite a bit larger:

Definitely one of the better antenna installs I've seen lately...

Cutting it lets the signal out, don't want the signal escaping!

I'm surprised someone hasn't stolen that extra coax yet

Yea...geeze...what freq are they using? Does it really matter with the 200' of extra LMR400-size cable?

The cable leads to a mobile-as-base-station bolted to the top of an Astron power supply, running in the VHF high band.

Yeah the extra coax is killing its power output. Presuming its SWR is low (< 3:1) then it's only putting out about 50% of the maximum power. So, if 100w then it's only putting out about 45w.

It doesn't even look like LMR-400 -- more like 9913 RG-8 -- but it makes no difference at that frequency.

Hopefully it's not RG-58. Power output would drop to < 10w (at 100w!)

(Presuming the length is 200ft.)

25w output, but it really only has to cover under a city block.

Still, not even close to optimal.

Take that metal stove pipe next to it and hide the antenna.

I'm sure that slab of steel 5' away is doing wonders, too.
