It sounds like they have a new TG at the airport just for the Rental Car Transit Bus.

The RCF is scheduled to open for business on May 17.

They are running bus traffic somewhere. They are talking like the new facility is doing something. This is not the employee shuttle as that TG is still active.

Busses have been doing training runs for a few weeks



Why you need 3+ weeks to train people how to drive a big loop is beyond me.

Well that, and they are the kind of people who need 3 weeks of training to drive in a big loop :shock:

They're referring to the service as "ATO", seems like we can put that on the talkgroup until someone sees how it displays on a user radio.

I already listed the TG as - Bus Rent Car

Bob driving bus 1462 just picked up the first real customer at the RCF even though it doesn't open for another few hours. Apparently the rental car companies are sending their customers there.
Looks like the supervisor portables aren't assigned.

This would be my bet.

I guess today is the official opening but it's very busy at 5am.

ATO - depending on the context could also refer to the "Ivory Tower" office building built upon the top of the A Concourse.

Appears to be "POS ATO" and "ATO Supervisor"

Single Loop - The bus stops at both the north and south end of the airport drive, picking up and dropping off.
Double/Dual Loop - Each bus stops at the north OR the south. Digital signs at each outbound bay at the RCF show "North Terminal" or "South Terminal"

Event staffers were on hand to load and unload luggage. Something and Leigh I think. Staffers had Nextels.

So are we looking for a second TG?

No, they're just labeled differently on different radios. I watched a bus driver and a supervisor key up and only had 4176 programmed in to the scanner in my ear.
