HELLO ALL, MY246T EATS BATTS as fas as I can charg them, thease are the stock bat, anybody haveany sugjestions for a better bat.

How may hours are you trying to get from one recharge? I can run my 246 for about 24 hours on the batteries that came with the scanner without needing a recharge.

:D WOW if i could get 24 hrs, i would be one happy camper! I'm lucke it i get 5 hrs, and i cycle the bat when new.

Get the biggest you can get. I think that Costco has four 2300mAh NickelMetalHydrides and charger. I find that my 396 lasts longer with rechargable than alkalines.

For $19.99 costo has a one hour charger with 6 AA 2500 Ni-MH and 2 AAA 900 Ni-MH.
