I couldn't find the EXACT information that I am looking for so I'm starting a new thread.

In the field, I need a FPP radio to do testing with. Preferably VHF and UHF as we have clients in both bands. I don't need memories as I'll set the TX and RX freqs, tones and transmission method (wide or narrow) on the fly as I go from site to site. Yes, I will perform the MARS/CAP/Business/Public Service mod on it.

I was thinking Wouxon but I can't remember if those are FPP or not. Any other suggestions? The cheaper the better.

What is the compression ratio of the vise? Will it make the full compression from 5 kHz to 2.5 kHz?

The wouxun are good radios. http://www.powerwerx.com/wouxun-radios/ ... rcial.html This one is a commercial radio (Part 90 cert), 2.5 step for FCC 2013 narrowband compliance, FPP with BOTH UHF and VHF bands with no mods. When wouxun first came out with radios, we had a SERS tech look at it and said that its performance was good, although the receiver was a little hot. Kenwood has commercial radios that you can mod into FPP, but they aren’t dual band

The difference between them is that the uv6d can do RPT key providing repeater offset direction/simplex switching, several programmable functions, 200 memory channels and 2.5 KHz frequency steps. Both radios will do narrow band.

Keep in mind a new KG-UV6D on epay is $45 less than what Powerwerx sells them for.

Motorola APX 7000 V/U with the whore flash, they are cheap.. Well maybe not cheap, but they have the best audio of any HT I have ever had.
