 Post subject: 3 alarm fire in seattle

3 Alarm Fire at the old Sunny Jim Factory at Airport wy S. and S. Industrial way in Seattle. Heavy smoke and flames can bee seen for miles and it's affecting traffic on I-5.

Four alarm fire at the old Sunny Jim plant in Seattle on Airport Way. Started about 1350 and went to
4 alarm about 1500. Part of the roof just collapsed.

MAYDAY just went out on the radio for a fire fighter down. Asking for Medics. Some type of collapse. FF being carried out.

M10 just asked dispatch to have the trauma doc call them... Uggg...

It has now grown to a 4 alarm and the added units are: E34, E35, E37, E38, L12, L8, H321,M80 and MAR50. Seattle Fire has also requested structual task force teams from Zone 3 (South King County) and probably from the eastside also (which I have not confirmed yet).

A "mayday" alert went over the radios reporting 1 firefighter down with a partial roof collapse. Other firefighters were carrying out the victim to a waiting medic unit (M10)..........

Seattle medics talk to a doctor at HMC pretty much every time they have a patient... not necessarily a bad sign.
