i solved my problem it was the cable

however somehow I also just killed my vx7... damn it.

anyone know a local yeasu repair shop>?

haha no, I did write bytronics and they will ship a new one.

some how in my lab work either I shorted something out, or when I booted up the tt3 it fried my HT I dont understand how.. but I fried a logic for the PTT switch, I can find it on the circuit board but not a damn thing I can do about it ... I cant work on this small of shit.

I sent a email to yeasu to find out what the shop rate is there as well as some dude in the mid west who has a 25$ a hour shop rate... I dont know if he works on new SM stuff however or just old rigs.

real bummer is this was my weekend project and now I have no project except sit and look at the shitty winter weather outside. BOOOOO and BOOOO

I recently sent my 817 into yeasu repair.
I sent it in ups and it was a quick turn around.

Yup, I had my FT60R go FUBAR once and I sent down to their HQ in California and got the radio back in a little over a week.
