A very good question. I was hoping someone would have responded by now. I know there are many of us out there with the 245XLT. Any help anyone?

I'm know nothing official, but from what has been discussed here by the time the change takes place you will be buying your second or third replacement battery for the 245. Relax, by that time you might be ready for a new radio.
