Last I heard test flights were going to be in Grant County, unless I misunderstood the conversation...

As I understand it both the 787 and the 747-800 will be flight tested at Grant County Intl Airport.

that's true but what I was talking about was the 1st flight from Pane Field you have to take off from Pane Field to get to Grant County. I plan on spending a few days in THE MOSES LAKE AREA listing to the flight test stuff.. They also have HF frequencies that they use during flight test.

First flight of the 787 will be from Paine Field, landing at Boeing Field if weather and airplane cooperate. No date has been announced yet...

Heard they were shooting for somewhere between 14 December 2009 and 22 December 2009. There were talks of trying for maiden flights of both the 787 and 747-8F on the same day.

Boeing is supposed to announce a date seven days before first flight so media will have time to prepare. You should make reservations at the hotel promptly after the announcement since everybody and his brother is planning on staying at the Hilton Garden Inn for the event.

787 is suppose to have maiden flight between the 14th and 18th, god willing and the creek don't rise! The 747 is ready to fly but they don't want that to happen. 787 first, 747 second! Stay tuned!

There were several taxi tests on Saturday:

The weather will probably be too poor for the advertised December 15 first flight.
