Interesting article regarding Multiple Frequency Disruptors (jammers) on scenes where a bomb may be detonated by a cell phone or a hostage with a possible cell phone they can't get rid of...

Not if you flip the 'criminal traffic only' switch.

I read somewhere that some warden of a prison unwittingly shut down his own radio system trying to curb the use of illicit cell phones within the institution. Seems like it was in Canada.

Well, 434 MHz is used in Canada in LMR...

Those systems are stupid...


All someone has to do is set up a bomb, and when the call DROPS , have it detonate the phone....

Call the police, tell them it's a cellphone activated bomb... The police themselves trigger the bomb using the device that's supposed to render it inoperative..

Evil, no?
