Because not everyone needs P25 support at this time? P25 digital systems are coming online as agencies make upgrades slowly.

Dont be surprised if you hear some P25 in your area be it Seattle, Everett, Tacoma in the 154-156 or 453-454mhz bands.

Who's to say the police are always gona be using thier trunk systems for special operations...so investing in a p25 scanner might be a good idea if you can afford it.

maybe they should just forget about going digital anyway, digital has a lot of problems and it freezes up.
there nothing really spiecal about digital anyway , it have weather interfeace messing up with transmissions, the catch is when you order thier exspensive digital scanners. if i was in charge of this city or arizona I wouldn't want digital here it's too costy and why change a good thing.
charging such prices for such a scanner is not smart during this ression
i bet you can't your other analog frequncies on these digital scanners..

Of course you can. Mine does 29-54, 118-512, 700-1254 (minus analog cellular) in FM, NBFM, AM, and P25 digital.

It's also computer controllable, outputs data for trunking decoding/analysis, does SAME decoding for NOAA weather radio, decodes PL/DPL and NAC tones/codes instantly, has user adjustable EVERYTHING, from backlight settings, to delay length to squelch settings to sensitivity.

Of course, it's more complicated than MS Office XP, but...

Bruce Schneier can copy P25 with a typewriter.

Spell check is your friend. also... :horse:

I usually never bring these things up, but I've been grinding my teeth reading the postings from ACTIONSCAN49*..... Your postings are driving me NUTS! Sorry if you are impaired, or from France  , but most members at least make the effort to be understood. I for one very much appreciate your input, but your display here is sloppy and rude.

None the less, thank you very much for joining.
