This weekend I moved the server over to another blade. Unfortunately I didn't think to reduce the DNS TTL value so some people will think the server is down because their computer cached the old IP address. I also didn't pay attention to some file versions so we inadvertently lost a few messages posted on Sunday. Anyways I will be tinkering with things over the next week or so. Most of what I'm doing shouldn't impact the system but expect some brief outages when I move some cables and machines around.

I am curious I have noticed that of posts to this thread have come, gone and then have come back. Is that a caching problem with my machine? This is not a complaint I am just wondering.

Thanks

That was me pulling the plug and moving some stuff around. Its not worth failing stuff over to the backup servers for such a short period of time. Tomorrow (Friday) morning and perhaps early afternoon I will be doing some more work that will result in brief outages.

I think I started bashing my head on the desk around 11am. Too much blood in my eyes to see what time it is now, but I do feel a little bit better.
