I have seen rioting in the street. People are throwing their tvs to the curb. Maybe they will get out side and enjoy the fresh air.

Its pretty annoying when the tv signal bleeds over into the railroad dispatch channel. It will be gone for a while or until the digital channels switch back to their original channel (except those cox suckers)

I guess I never really thought about what would happen. With cable we are already covered.

Things are much worse up here.

Dad (at 85 years old) is fumbling around with the remote with a very strange look on his face. (Similar to the guest from India who was trying to figure out how to plug an RJ-11 into the AC wall outlet)

Mumbling something about "those damn color bars..."

Mom is bitching at him non-stop, but he removed his hearing aids in the confusion, so he is oddly at some level of peace.

dont know if anyone else sees this, but my BCT15 now picks up cell phones

I assume its because of the lack of messy analog transmissions in the air.

Circuit City didn't survive to be in on the new TV buying that will now happen

Now we can pile up our old TVs on top of our old PCs with floppy drives in the garage
right next to our old LPs and 8 tracks :bowrofl:

Well, KGW, KPTV, KPDX, KOIN, and KPXG are off the air down here. No issues reported. KATU is the last one tonight and they will sign off at 11:35 PM after the newscast.

I saw the flashcut on KPDX today. Cut right in the middle of Law & Order CI.

I always get a little intermod from TV stations on the VHF band when I drive down I-5 within sight of the TV antennas on Queen Anne hill. I am curious if this intermod will be gone the next time I drive by. What do you think?

KTLA's Mt. Wilson transmitter went dark tonight. Here is the last 90 seconds:

I compressed it with mpeg4 due to the size of the original file...
