Every so often when two deputies on scso south are talking I will hear what sounds to be like somebody cutting their mic. They will be talking about something usually on tac and all of a sudden in the middle of one of them talking it just cuts out. It makes this sound like somebody turned off their radios. Does dispatch monitor deputies conversations and if they say something appropriate have the ability to cut them off the air ? Because whenever this happens, neither party continues talking.

You're probably losing reception of the control channel, if you're talking about the trunked system.

I can only *speculate* that the talkgroup you're listening to no longer needs to be carried on that part of the system (either the West or East Simulcast). So, the system is dropping the conversation from that part of the system. The conversation is probably still happening - just on the *opposite* zone.

Make any sense?

Brad.

No. SNOPAC does not do anything like that.

Has to be something on your end. I monitor SCSO South and South TAC all the time and never hear any such pattern you describe.
