I have been noticing that there are now four antennas on most SPD cars, excluding those that have the three additional antennas for the Lojack locater. All appear to be 800/900 mhz type. I figure one for the radio, one for the MDT, and one for the officer's wireless microphone that works with the in-car camera system. Can't guess what the fourth antenna is for - does anyone know?

Common Setups

Lojhack= 4 Antennas. 4 in the shape of a square.
Procom?=3 Antennas (tracking device for bank robbery etc) Only a few agencies had this about 10 years ago and I think most dropped it. 3 in the shape of a triangle.
Radio=1
Data=1
Radio and Data are sometimes combined into 1.

This assumes that the officer only has 1 band of radio in his car. So take your pick of those. And of course there are a ton of other applications that could be installed too like GPS and on and on...
