I will bringing a new P25 Kenwood TK-5210 (VHF) and my Kenwood TK-2180. Joey will have his 2180 and well as his TK-2170. Plus my laptop has tons of local programming from Central Washington State.

(If anyone has any Kenwood radios I would love to read them out!)

See you there

Ok - here's the latest....

I've had a few cancellations, so we're down to approx. 14 "officially".

I have the "Board Room" Reserved at the Poodle Dog.

A small problem - when I initially reserved the room, the manager at the time (Misty) told me no problem, no charge.

New management has taken over - the new management is insisting on a $50 room fee for using this room (sounds like that includes coffee and water service on the table). Over the last week, I've been trying to get this fee waived - however, the owner and new management are not budging. I even promised that we would be a big "order off the menu" group - that didn't help.

So, our choices are:

1. Cancel the meeting.

2. Move the meeting somewhere else that's more accomodating (may be a bit tough this late in the game).

3. Pay the room fee out of donations at the door - would amount to about $3 per person (at least then, you would not be obligated to buy any food).

You guys decide. At this point, I would go with this location and the fee - I just hope I don't get stuck with the balance....

I wouldn't mind chipping in a few bucks; while I can't write it off, I can write it down.

I'm getting low on funds, but I can chip in 10 or so.

I can write it off.

I monitor 146.420 simplex regularly.

Ok, that will work - local talk in can be this simplex frequency.

For wide-area coverage, I usually monitor 444.300 (103.5). It's the Buck Mtn machine near Quillicene (4000 ft). It's good for the wide area coverage - though I'm not sure if it will cover into the building in Fife.

Any recommendations for a low-level 2m or 70cm repeater in the Fife area - one that will provide low-power coverage from a handheld in side the Poodle Dog restaurant?
