A question about Motorola Type 1 trunk systems (800mhz). :lol:

Me and a friend are trying to track a local business trunked radio system, and trying to nail down all the settings for it. At first, I thought it was a type 1 system so I've been trying all kinds of tricks to try and figure out the fleet map for the system. But, a friend of mine said that in Type 2 mode, he keeps seeing (and hearing) I-Call talkgroup numbers in the 7000 range. He says he hears the DTMF tones and everything.

Now, my question is this.... is I-Call strictly found on Type 2 systems (which is what I thought) or can it be found on Type 1 systems as well? If the latter is true, how do we determine if this is a type 1 or type 2 system?
