now that the analog cell phones have been shut down, what's ganna go into the band?

are new scanners ganna be sold with 800 MHz unblocked?

Those bands are used for the digital transmissions also. They just have more channels now...

as im sure the article points out legislation once set is hard to remove - who is going to pay for or front a bill to say "remove the restriction for scanner listeners" its likely there forever. I haven't heard a cell phone since 1995 however if you tune into cells now they have awesome horrible digital noise.
