Notes
Not a lot of traffic on this system. It can be easily scanned without
an EDACS-capable trunking scanner by putting in all the freqs for one
of the sites and then locking out the control channel.

Thanks to Dennis and Flash for their contributions.

Mutual Aid, State Ops, I-Call, and I-Tac

Mutual-aid channels are available so different
public safety agencies have common channels they
can use to communicate with other agencies.

153.830 is the statewide fire mutual aid channel. On the air
you might hear it referred to as "Red Net" or "Firecom".
Its typically used for comms when multiple fire departments
respond to an incident. Sometimes it will be used within a
department as a spare tactical channel.

155.370 is used throughout most of the state as a police
mutual aid channel. Its called "LERN" (Law Enforcement
Radio Network). Basically the same usage rules as "Red Net".
This is commonly used when there is a police pursuit
involving State Patrol and city/county police departments.
LERN is also patched into the King County regional trunk system.

155.475 is the national law enforcement emergency channel (NLEC).
Its rarely used in the Puget Sound area.

156.135 is OSCCR - On Scene Command & Coordination Radio. Typically
used by State Patrol at major accident scenes. Occasional
        tactical usage by city/county agencies.

155.190 is MARS - Mutual Aid Radio. Its a crossband system linking
a VHF repeater, a UHF repeater, and the King County regional
trunk system. Its typically used by agencies with incompatible
radio systems (for example WSP talking to Seattle PD). Its
often used for pursuits and sometimes for the King County
        Guardian 1 helicopter.

State Ops refers to five 800mhz simplex channels.

I-Call and I-Tac are 800mhz conventional repeaters.

Some or all of these are programmed into agencies that use 800mhz radios.
Commonly heard users of these freqs are Police, Fire, and State DOT.

Besides short range on-scene tactical comms, these freqs are also useful
for comms between radios that have incompatible trunking formats (for example
the Johnson MultiNet radios used by State DOT can talk to the Motorola
trunked radios used by King County).

Since the repeaters are conventional, they could function as a backup during
a catastrophic trunk system failure in addition to site-trunking.

State Ops, I-Call, and I-Tac use a CTCSS (PL) tone of 156.7
