Klickitat County Fire Radio Summary

• The Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office dispatches all fire districts and departments except Dallesport and Wishram on 154.130 MHZ with simplex operation in the central part of the county and CTCSS controlled repeaters elsewhere. Dispatch answers to “Goldendale”
• Dallesport and Wishram are dispatched by Wasco County, (The Dalles) OR. They have access to all Klickitat County fire frequencies.
• Bingen and White Salmon fire departments use their town name and unit number for ID. Example; “White Salmon #9”
• Goldendale Fire Department units use callsigns starting with 61. Example; “61-64”
• Fire district callsigns start with the district number for apparatus, portable, and station radios. District 9 would be “9xx”, District 14, “14xx” and so on. Sometimes units will ID with the type of apparatus, Example; “tender 719”
• Chiefs and OICs at incidents use their agency prefix and “00”. Example; District 5 chief is “500”.
• Aid cars and rescue units ID with “Aid” or “Rescue” and the district number. Example; “Aid 12”. Glenwood, dist. 8 ID’s with “Medic 8”, they have full transport capability.
• Klickitat County has 3 tactical fire channels on 154.070, 154.355, and 154.400 MHZ. District 7 also has it’s own repeater on 154.415 MHZ. It’s called “Channel 3” and the talk around is “Channel 4”
• All fire agencies in the county have full radio interoperability with each other and the Washington State Department of Natural Resources.
