Here is the actual freq range of a TK-930.

Note that it doesn't quite reach up into the 900 ham band.

TX: 796.2-825.0 (repeater)

TX: 838.0-882.8 (talkaround)

press "A" when powering on to get to program mode

then SYS-UP or SYS-DN to exit program mode

then GRP-UP to enter clone mode

You can hex-edit channel numbers to go out of band. Here are some examples:
