The Kenwood TK-980 doesnt go into the 900 ham band.&lt;br /&gt;
It might be possible to convert but you would have to change the&lt;br /&gt;
RX filter and make some VCO adjustments. Here is what I measured&lt;br /&gt;
from a stock TK-980:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
RX Filter: 845-870mhz&lt;br /&gt;
RX VCO: 850-890mhz&lt;br /&gt;
TX VCO: 790-880mhz&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I've heard from others that the PA unit might work up into the&lt;br /&gt;
low end of the 900 ham band.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
