First of all marcus and wayne and everyone else..thanx for a great forumn guys. I am On this Board because it is sweet. Even though I'm not a trunker. And even though I am not a brainiac, I still like to help out with Q's cause radio is something i know...somethin i love and enjoy..and its like the most bottomless pit of a topic..and i love that, it just never ending. This is a great time to be into this hobby and for some a profession...Some very impressive rigs out there...some very cool stuff going on with the computer side of it. Sattelites comin up for the broadcast side, and i dont know what to think about that, but its another horizon. For all you guys with Mod questions? Why dont you just import a foreign rig to begin with? I'd much rather see worthwhile mod q's on how to eliminate squeltch tails and keep the lcd lights on and not this invasive type of cellular stuff. ohh well, that'll never stop. WannA Know what youll hear on cellular? OK...1)some guy calls his wife from the store, wants to know if he should pick up ________(<-cheese, diapers, olive oil,ect.) 2) Some kid who got his new phone last xmas is called by his mom and told to come home, he explains he's "studying @ ___'s house", and then shortly afterwards gets a call from his buddy and they make a pot deal. 3)Some psyco girlfriend calls her wimp of a dude...and wants to no why he isnt home! DAMNIT GET HOME, AND DONT LIE TO ME ANYMORE, AND TREAT ME LIKE I DESERVE TO BE TREATED! 4) A million other boring things im sure. Point is, Take a social science class and dont spy on hard workin people. we are all the same and quite boring in many ways. Go down and rent the movie "Sliver" and then get back to me...to weird. I started out with radio just dx'ing far away medium wave stations at night with an old Superscope model r-330, not spying on people. Listening to all the great personalities from all the different markets...that was cool. But more importantly radio has got me tail. you would not believe how hot girls get when I talk about "Memory Bank Management"...or "Bank Swapping". Or if i see a girl at the bar and she looks like she might have an AOR like me, I'll ask her if we can go back to my place and "Clone" her radio, this is very effective.
