I don't hear any problem on my $3000 receiver. Could be your scanner. Maybe even a local computer causing a mix- yes we have seen this happen!

: On my 780 I have found that the freq. 866.3375 seems to have an irritating "birdie"-like chirp whenever it goes active. Doesn't matter who is using it, nor where the receiver is, nor any other thing I can change locally. I was wondering if you had any "official" idea of what's causing this interference.
