My 200XLT would sometimes lose its mind in a similar way;
all the channels were locked out, so no scanning takes place.
I think you need to reset the scanner. Try holding down 2, 9 and MANUAL while turning the unit on.
(I hope I'm remembering correctly; if that does nothing try 2, 9 and SCAN.)
This resets the scanner and probably programs in some test frequencies.
If that doesn't work, feel free to contact me directly for other possibilities.

: I hope someone can give me some advice; my 100XLT is no longer working. It will not scan automatically, however you can manual scan and it will scan the weather bands, but it will not pick up anything, even when I adjust the squelch. There is no longer any sound and the light is not working. The display seems to be working O.K. and all the buttons function except for the Lock-Out button. It reads L/O on the screen and I cannot clear it, any ideas? Uniden will repair it, if repairable, for $50.00 plus shipping both ways. Maybe I should put that money towards a newer unit that would go into the 800 bands. Any advice would be appreciated. Guy
