That max looks cool...also looks like its comin in for a landing on some Jovian moon or somethin. I guess i fall with sean, if your using a base unit or a mobil unit. The max looks likes it goin overboard to be omni directional...but on 800? hmm. I know they make both base and mobil versions of the max, and it has been a good seller for years at grove. You should have no prob bringin up DB/Gain whatever you choose. Good luck
