Well, that is kind of a loaded question. If you want to monitor trunking in King County you will need one of the trunktrackers. I prefer the Uniden built units which include BC235, BC245, BC895, BC780, Radio Shack Pro90, Pro91, Pro94,
Pro2066 etc. If you want to listen to military air then you cut all of these out except the BC780, and the BC895, and maybe the Pro94 but don't quote me on that.
Some of the above radio's are no longer available new. Uniden has remanufactured units on their website at times.
I left out the Pro92 and Pro2067 because my personal experience with the Pro92 is poor trunking performance, the alpha tags are nice and the radio seems fine on other bands. I'm sure people will disagree but that is my oppinion.
Also these radio's are reviewed at www.strongsignals.net
When you find a radio you like let us know and we will try to help further.
Good Luck.

Vince.

: I need advice on which scanner I should buy, there are so many out there, I don't want to buy somthing that 1) won't work or 2) Is ultra deluxe, I just need somthing that will work in this area.
