Just now, Rescue-1 advised male jumped. Obvious DOA, send PIO to handle media.

SFD engine dispatched to above location for "a washdown".

Good ol' KOMO, Kings of the Breaking News, is too busy running a veeerrrrryyyy lengthy piece on Colorado marijuana contests, including a interview with a family who has their several children helping make hash oil "oh, we're just your normal, happy family".

I quit humanity.

Still haven't seen anything on normal mass "media" outlets....Unless you want breathless coverage on what the Outlaw is wearing to the Academy Awards.

New theme park opening up on Capitol Hill soon.

You may have noticed (especially after sporting a shiny thing on your work shirt) that about 1/10 of (real) calls for service make it to the media.

Most media outlets will NOT publicize jumpers. They don't want to "encourage" others to do the same....
I was called to the site to make sure no damage was done to the tower or antennas. It was not pretty. The guy was in pieces.

Most media outlets won't publicize things that aren't: a) within their agenda; and b) aren't social-media related.

As another of my usual asides, I liked the Capitol Hill Blog's title about a "victim" dying from a "fall". The guy stated to friends on the ground he was going to jump prior to climbing, called from his cellphone (probably had 5 bars of service...unless he was using Verizon) to state he was going to jump, and then did just that.

Pieces? Yeah, 300' jump will do that. I've done recovery missions where we were able to put the victim (mostly post-homicide type) into a Hefty sack (double-bagged of course).
