Hi, Lot's of your freq's are for the state patrol. The Vancouver region fire/pd use a digital system that can't be received on a scanner - at this time. There is lots of other V/UHF stuff to listen to in the Van BC area. Best place to get freq'a is ScanBC.com

Happy New Year - You all

thnx for the input mark

I can listen to the Vancouver fire department on the ecomm
800mhz emegency service system that is used here but not the police or ambulance service.
they use the same trunked radio system that the VFD use but transmit
in provoice digital mode, where as the fire dept operates in analog mode

sad to say the only way I'll be able to hear the police and ambulance
transmissions here is to buy an lpe-200 two-way radio with option 29 provoice decode at $4000 which is not happening any time soon.

my question is
what other USA law enforcement(vhf/fm) radio systems should I be able
to hear in vancouver bc other than the ones I listed

I made a few changes (in RED), and added some information.
Most of the Local Law Enforcement in North Puget Sound uses UHF. Are you interested in that stuff?
