Looking for suggestions for an inexpensive 150Mhz tuned mobile antenna with BNC connection.

Searching for something better to use with my PDW setup.

Thanks...

Why not just get a tuned 1/4 wave whip NMO with the proper mount. Cost would be around $25-30 total...

5540 divided by 150 divided by 2 is the size of your 1/4 wave whip. 18.46 inches

Sorry, I was not clear. I meant my mobile handheld.

I'm assuming those antennas need a decent ground plain to work properly?

Yep!

If you have groundplane issues a Laird (or equivalent) 1442N is a good choice. I use em on my slicktops on the side fender to help hide em due to them being a tad shorter than a 5/8 gain 1443. They work very well with or without groundplane...
