Update 28-Oct:
They got a ride in a Fairchild hopper-chopper.
Shot an Elk and smoked it to eat.
Avery is remote, but 40 miles south of is very.

I drove it in 1993, pretty neat to go through the tunnels, ended up on a FS road that was being redone by the largest CAT I've ever seen. We waited and then drove out on I-90 somewhere in MT.

There is some great flyfishing up there! I used to fish at least once a year from Red Ives Ranger station south.
