I see agreeable points with everyone. Currently a commisioned LEO, I have never been to an alarm response that was NOT false. I have been to calls for service where the compl seen susp doing something they should'nt be doing, as far as forced entry, but that was not an alarm call.
And lay off the security guys, I used to be one.

First Response only provides the service. The client provide the alarms...sometimes dozens per shift. The FR officers respond and check for signs of a crime...if there isn't one the client gets a report. If there are any signs of entry the police are notified - it becomes an "In Progress" crime with a witness. As long as clients are willing to pay, FR has a place.

Aw, they're all a bunch of loose nuts!

Actually, I just enjoy instigating every once in awhile. I also used to be one of those loose nuts, in addition to managing a security company, supervising the security department for a large state agency, and working as a commissioned LEO in Washington, California, and now in Alaska.

Wow, quite the discussion.

Thanks John, the Outlaw, N7QOR and even Wilrobnson.

Its good to hear the diaolog over something I've worked so hard to help build. The good and the bad. The bad shows me where we need to improve.

Sgt. Harris the question that is still on the top of the list is what are the freqs and TG's now that I'm back in the good old US i'd like to keep up and BTW FRI is one of the most professional security units on the streets having had expirence with several companies both here and in Canada I have to say the are the private company most respected by LEO's and by far the most cooperative just ask any of the 2nd or 3rd watch @ precinct 5 for the KCSO
