Ah, all the history of 'the devils portal' right here in one place. My wife wishes I would cancel the cable television, but I keep resisting.

RTV (Retro TV) carrys "Adam 12", "Dragnet" and your favorite -- "Emegency" -- everyday. Home sweet home. KIRO TV 7.2 in seattle and KSLM TV in Portland (17.2) are both RTV.

Eventually, KIRO's on air signal will improve in Olympia and elsewhere.

"There are two things we are working on that will improve your reception
of both 7.1 and 7.2. The first is a translator that we are going to
install on Tumwater hill that will re-broadcast our signal. I am in the
middle of negotiating that contract. The second is an increase in our
transmission power from our tower on Queen Anne. We have an application
in with the FCC to raise our power. This also has to be approved by the
Canadians due to possible interference issues. This is where it is
currently hung up."

Good to know. Thanks for the update. Brian lives in Holy Moses Lake, WA and the local cable carrier -- Northland Cable -- only carrys KIRO 7.1. It sure wouldn't hurt for Brian -- AND ANYONE ELSE -- to call the local cable company and request that they ADD KIRO TV -- 7.2 ( RTV ) to the line-up. businesses like to hear from the customers -- if they think that they can make an extra buck. Hell -- I might even give them a call -- or email them. Hope the KIRO upgrade works well. MTM

Comcast in Salem won't carry RTN down there from what I understand. I guess they don't like Reed and Malloy

Maybe not -- But I am sure that you can receive the "over the air" signal - in the Metro Salem-Dallas area. Try watching the "over the air" channel.
