Here is a good laugh for everyone.

Obviously he doesn't pay much attention to our forums if he is coming to that conclusion...

Yeah but the issue there is that the owner or mods dont really like to work
with other groups, and are pretty strict with their forums and cutting
people off at times. Dont get me wrong, great resource and site -

What I am considering and have already had many contacts regarding is more
of an open project where news and submissions from others would be posted
front site front page, not on just some forums. It would be there to push
online broadcasts, current incidents and notifications it wouldn't be the
same and INW

I'm glad I deleted my reply before I sent it. It was incredibly clever and cutting.

What a load of horse shit. He must have this place confused with Strong Signals.

And his reply:

Hey there, saw your post on your guy's site .... A few people sent me the link, they thought it was pretty funny. I guess you proved my point about the site, people there like to flame others, start wars and do stuff like that. even the mods.

As I said in my response nothing really against you guys over there i was meaning to do something different from whats there already.

I found it funny that you mentioned making it so I cant post there on your forums, I guess your not very aware of what goes on there, I havent postd in 3 years there. I could do the same to you here on WASCAN yahoo group, but hontestly Im not into that - i guess one reason I thought to start a web site that had some news and other info more open source. Its terrible these days when people think with all their web site power that they can rally affect someone ... hontestly who cares.

Anyways, hope you have a great week, thanks for the laugh

Are we talking about a site for Washington state alone? If
that's the case, yes,I'm for it .I can provide images, video clips,
and more . There is also a guy in Bremerton that I am sure
would like to be a part of such a site. I would also suggest
and encourage working on field trips and such.. Outings to
Boeing field and that kind of thing. I have wanted to get
together with others. So, let's make this happen.

All I did was post his message yet he continues with his unfounded juvenile attacks on our site. Perhaps its better that he and his friends choose not to participate here.

This is one of the few non-profit hobby sites that believes in open shared data, doesn't solicit $$$ from people, doesn't trash your screen with ads, and doesn't spam your mailbox. What on earth drives people to act that way toward this site is beyond me. Truly sad.

Wasn't this the guy who was a cop out near Grays Harbor, then went to Vegas to become a casino security guard?

Wil said "Wasn't this the guy who was a cop out near Grays Harbor"

You are correct on that. I can remember getting in an shouting match with him
sometime back and Rich shut him out if I remember right.

He was a reserve deputy in Elma at that time. Has a real know it all attitude
and likes to put people down. :puke:

Dear WashingtonScan,

If you make fun of our site, do you not expect us to make fun of you? Also, please browse our forums, more than a page deep. You will find, among other things: "news and submissions, links to online broadcasts, current incidents and notifications."

Sincerely,
Guy that has never been censored by "the Mods" on INW.

P.S. The owner of the site did not refuse to work with my group. On the contrary, he encourages submissions and updates to the massive database here.

Clearly the guy has no sense of humor.
Probably a good thing he is not a cop.

As the WA Scan group owner, and now, sole moderator, I wanted to jump in here and put my .02 cents worth. First off, I'm sorry I haven't been around here in a while. I haven't done any scanning in a long time. I've pretty much just put Washington Scan on cruise control and have been going about my life - working, playing, school, etc. Apparently I've been gone too long and have neglected the list way too much. I've been seeing these threads flying around on the list about a proposed regional website, but I just caught on this morning what was going on, and I want to put a stop to it.

The former moderator(s) of Washington Scan do not now, nor will they ever, represent the views and opinions of either myself or the other members on the email group. I don't appreciate it that the aforementioned members of the list were threatening to block the posts of some of you folks here. That will not happen. I love this site, and I don't know what beef that person has with the site, but he's not going to use Washington Scan as his soap box.

I've ended the thread, and any other discussions about a "new website" on Washington Scan are not going to continue on. I sincerely apologize that I didn't catch this sooner, and hope this doesn't happen again.

By the way Rich, nice forums, I need to come back around here more often! 8)
