Currently listening to Classical KING FM 98.1, "The Compline Service" which has been broadcast live EVERY Sunday evening since before I was born... A book has even been published about this unique experience... Does anyone know of anything locally or even nationally which comes close in terms of longevity?

Metropolitan Opera from NYC is probably the oldest national broadcast. It cannot be tape delayed by stations carrying it.

"Complin" or "Compline" is one of 8 "Hours" or times a day that members of the Catholic Church come togather to pray. At one time all priests, monks, nuns, brothers and those that where ordained, were required to stop work and pray - in latin - various prayers in praise and tranksgiving to God. Compline is the last hour and is said after Vespers in the evening.
