Ha-ha.
Some north idaho dude was convinced everyone needs a "digital antenna" to receive "new TV".

I choose not to explain due to his level of ignorance, his level of intoxication, and general hillbilly-ness.

I am however, tempted to solder a diode & an F connector to a coat hanger and sell it to him.
Tell him it's disguised as a coat hanger and it's what the black helicopters use.

Sheesh. Some people.

Oh yeah, and:

Well, there is consistancy what a "digital antenna" is! it works on RF channels 8 to 70, basically excluding the top portion of the VHF low TV band because there's only like 3 stations that still transmit on that band in DTV.

Personally, for 14.99, I have this antenna and it rocks! http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/antennas/?sku=ANT1000R

How far are you from the transmitters and what is the terrain like?

I usually use it at the house here, which I am about 9 miles I think from all the towers here in Portland, but I have used it camping up in BC and Eastern Oregon and have pulled in stations too.
