Nick,

Didn't Harry have a group of hams that sent him weather reports?

I believe that was Harry who mentioned them quite often.

Or maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

I always wondered if he was a ham.
I don't see him listed on the ARRL web site search.

Any way he will be missed and remembered.

Yes, known as "Harry's Hams".

If I remember right the net was on the Mike and Key K7LED repeater 146.82 and Harriet KC7KR was usually the net control?

I think the ham reports were discontinued due to the use of Amateur Radio being used to "gather news information for a commercial purpose" IE broadcast on a commercial for-profit TV or Radio station.

Thanks for the information. I thought that was Harry.

What ever happened to his son ? Wasn't he following in his dads line of work?

Andy I believe his name was.

Yeah Andy was Chief Meteorologist for KIRO.
He left to make way for Chief Weather Hottie Rebecca Stevenson.

He is at PSE now.
