Anyone wire a laptop to their HDTV? Is there any simply vga to hdmi cord? I tried this sometime ago with an older laptop- vga to rca- but the pc only put out a low res to tv. Asus Eee to 32" hdtv is what I'm working with. |

I connected my eee netbook to the TV with VGA and it looks great (1920x1080). I have a desktop system with DVI output and have connected it directly to the TV's HDMI and also to the TV's VGA with an adapter. The DVI/HDMI was real contrasty and would have taken a lot of manual adjustment to clean it up, where the VGA looked great as-is. Must have been a level issue with the PC DVI output as the HDMI looks just fine for the blu-ray player. Either way the lesson learned here is make sure your TV has a native VGA input. |

I know this is going to sound stupid, but after I posted the question I looked at the back of the TV and yes it does have a VGA input. And the netbook has a VGA output. Solved itself. |

All you need now is an audio cable, bluetooth keyboard, and bluetooth mouse. |

I've already obtained the patch cable. I'll grab a vga to vga. Then a wireless keyboard/mouse & I'm pimpin'. |
