Does anyone in the Puget Sound area remember when KCPQ Ch 13 was promoting the so called "add-on antenna"? There is one of their vintage promos on YouTube. I would like to try and find one of these or simular antennas for Over The Air reception. Any info on Make, Model, Price, and who might have one would be appreciated. I had also considered trying to build one but I have never tackled an antenna like that from scratch before. Something like a 4 element yagi, 1 reflector and 2 directors, folded dipole DE, centered on 213 Mhz. I'm not sure how easy or practical it would be trying to adapt a 220 antenna for this purpose. haha yea i remember them, drive around in n'hoods in bellevue and you see about 2-3 for every 20 houses. since they wont do much good come next year (and doubtful they do anything now) I bet that you could just go knock on a door and offer to remove the antenna for the price of taking the antenna home. check out newport hills hood just drive around - seriously. |
