My car radio is picking up KOMO AM 1000 -- in Stereo. NOT Digital -- just a standard GM Car radio -- with AM Stereo. How many others are still broadcasting a C-quam Stereo signal ?? Anyone else hearing local AM stations -- in stereo ??

Did'nt they start transmitting in stereo 10 or 20 years ago. I remember it was a big thing back then. Around the time CD's started getting fazed in.

I believe so, I had a SONY portable radio (1986) that had a 2 posistion switch between MotorolaC-QAM and Kahn/Hazletine broadcast set ups. It stopped working but at the time only a few were doing it . KONA in Pasco was and it did improve music quality but it was an attempt to boost AM radio before Talk radio came along and ruined it (imo)

From here in Moses Lake I can pick up KONA 610 AM in stereo. They are still going strong in the Tri-Cities.

I wish I could get KWIQ AM 1020, KBSN AM 1470, and KULE AM 730 to try AM stereo. There IS a difference.
