Don't really need any more radios right now but thanks anyway. There is a buyer for the R7000, I think he is one of those Hams with the special license plates. |

So as long as I got your attention. I was at a small county training yesterday where it was said over and over that with the FRS/GMRS radios that the neighborhoods use should never use 1-7 as they were higher powered than 8-14 hence using more of the battery power. Crazy right? The radios I have seen have 1-14 FRS and the rest are GMRS and are higher powered. So the local woman next to me says we have to move from 4 and I say we're staying. Am I full of shit (on this one point)? |

Am I full of shit (on this one point)? I think they're all slightly different- the one I'm using right now has high power on 1-7, low on 8-14, and high on 15-22 (Cobra GMRS 935). |
