On March 30 TROY007, probably DHS King Air N151Q, was on 128.025 with Downrigger Control. Entering W-237.

DOWNRIGGER was, or is the Fleet Area Control and Surveillance Facility (FACSFAC) at Whidbey Island.

I was under the impression that it was no longer a thing, but Matt and Mike have both heard references to DOWNRIGGER recently.

Matt, are there other known DOWNRIGGER ops frequencies?

A lot of the old frequencies lists had 128.2 as Whidbey FACSFAC but a few months ago heard a P-8 on Seattle Center handed off to 128.025. They usually check in with Downrigger shortly after departing Whidbey. 227.5 is the Warning Area common freq, and the P-8s and P-3s often talk on 303.0.

Found another Downrigger freq: 261.175. 227.5 is Warning Area Common.

Thanks, Matt.

Those came from a source, probably from Jack Sullivan from the early '90s.

Isn't that Air Force Common?

243.0 is the military version of 121.5.
