So, anyone else going to Rickreall this weekend?

I'll be driving down in the early morning hours. Will probably be monitoring 147.540s (among other frequencies)

I might be able to make it. We got hit with an arctic storm today so Santiam pass could be a real mess. I'll have 147.54 in the radio.

Rich, good to see you there. Glad the weather cooperated, and allowed Santiam to stay open.

Well, it was well attended. I had never been to this Hamfest before, and opted to drive down for the day. Leaving at 3AM allowed us to get there in pleanty of time.

The usual collection of stuff was there, from Motorola metal to overpriced conventional scanners. Some of those folks were pretty proud of their stuff, and their prices reflected it. One guy was trying to sell his "new" Alinco DR-235 220mhz radio for $250 - when you could walk down the aisle and purchase one from HRO for $249. He didn't get it.

It was a good time, and a great training run for the Puyallup Hamfest.

See you there....
